Trust me, it’s not just lip service. These are the conversations with have with ourselves in our own heads and with one another when we need a pep talk.
Perhaps it’s time for you to starting having these kind of conversations with yourself.
Talk back to yourself when the old tapes start playing. But just long enough to reboot your thought process. Don’t get stuck and become a navel gazer. Just have the conversation with yourself and then get on with your life.
And when you’re really struggling, call for reinforcements – that special person who can talk you off the ledge of negativity when you’re wrapped around the axle on a particular subject.
Whatever approach you take, begin to shift your way of thinking. Have the conversation.
