For the sometimes small and unbending minds of human beings, it is impossible to comprehend the very unending nature of the universe.
It is simply more than we can wrap our heads around. Perhaps we can learn about bits and pieces and gain understanding of a small corner of the cosmos, but beyond that, it’s a mystery.
Within each unique human being exists a microcosm of the universe. Unknowns and unexplored depths that in all likelihood we will never be able to fully comprehend. Nor should we try to. Because like the vast cosmos, each human being is a complex bundle of unknown motivations and emotions.
So if someone is stumping you with their mysterious behavior, let it go. You may just never understand why they are who they are, nor will you fully comprehend the reasons for making their decisions. Accept them for who they are at this given moment and move on with your life.

Great point! Some things and even some people we know and love often present us with a case of the shoulder shrugs. I’ve learned that a simple “I dunno!” can be liberating. and much less frustrating. Better to save the time and energy you would, in the past, expend trying to ‘get it’ by appreciating the incredible complexities the world presents us.

Yep. It’s a good place to be when you can say, “I don’t know…”

Meditation is one way to explore one’s interior life – it can be quite amazing how meeting and embracing the life-force within can mellow one’s attitude toward outer experience. And yet this does not prevent me from getting annoyed with people I think are acting like jerks. Go figure.
