Well, folks, it’s December.
How do I know?
Is it because I’m looking at the calendar?
No.
It’s that no matter how many vitamin D capsules I shove down my gullet, I still feel bland, like I have plastic bubble wrap twisted tightly around my head.
Sing it with me (to the tune of “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”)…it’s the lowest vitamin D time of the year!
Days are shorter. I haven’t seen the sun in at least a month and a half. I live in Ohio, the low vitamin D capital of the entire free world.
Let’s just say this isn’t the best time of the year for me. Neither are the next four months.
But.
I’m aware of the issue. I’ve identified the demon. I’m working on a solution (hence the vitamin D/gullet word painting above). And that’s half the battle, folks.
Identifying your demons is the key to living with them and eventually overcoming them. Because if you don’t even know what they are, you’re fighting an uphill battle, always at risk of being ambushed. Blindsided. Bowled over.
And we don’t like those kind of surprises here at BBA, so figure out what’s eating away at you and then take some steps to remedy the problem.
Do you have some lingering demons that need to be identified? No better time than the present to identify and rectify!
Marian says
I would love to get rid of one of my demons but I’d probably get put in prison. ; )
Andrea says
Yeah, probably shouldn’t do that! But the demon is really more about our perceptions of the situation…
Megan says
Getting rid of demons that are family, are in fact difficult. But, I tell you as I chip away at them they are going from a boulder on top of my head to a pebble in my pocket!
Andrea says
Those are the toughest demons, but good for you for chipping away at that boulder!
