I don’t know about you, but I’m not a big fan of New Year’s resolutions. Seems that they’re usually about fixing the things that you think are “wrong” with yourself and it also seems that most people’s resolutions peter out by mid-February at the latest.
Frankly, I think it’s more important to allow change to happen organically in your life, and when you’re truly ready to make changes in your life, you will resolve to make those changes. In fact, you will feel compelled to make those changes. Then, and only then, will you stick with those changes.
So when you finally come to the end of the line about something in your life and realize that change is a mandate from yourself to yourself, then resolve. Resolve to live the life you deserve and resolve to make the change that is welling up from inside you.
Until then, live your life fully, without imposing false resolutions because it happens to be the first of the year. Give yourself permission to let go of resolutions forever. And then resolve.
