Are you a slave to your to-do list?
Do you feel overwhelmed with all that’s undone on your list?
Feel like it never gets done?
Are you using the “F” word? Failure, not the other “F” word.
Well, stop it.
If your to-do list is mostly a to-don’t list, here’s an idea…say to hell with the to-do list.
Seriously. Ditch the to-do list.
The important things in your life will make their way to top of mind and you will naturally want to pick those off the top.
I used to be the consumate to-do lister. But it was demoralizing, because I could have 20+ items on my list daily, with plenty more I could add, and would really only have the time to pick 2 or 3 things off the list each day. Insert the “F” word. Failure and the other one.
Sharing this lament with a friend, he suggested that I dump my to-do list. Foreign concept. But challenge accepted.
Surprisingly, nothing much changed. Except my stress level. And I stopped saying the “F” word. Failure, that is.
Amazingly, the same amount of stuff got done. What happens is that the important things work their way to top of mind and I do them as needed.
Now this doesn’t mean that you should never write anything down. If you need to write yourself a note to remember to to pay your taxes, then by all means do it.
Just don’t let your to-do list own you. Set it free.
No worries. You’ll still be awesome.

WOW! Synchronicity at it’s finest right here, considering I was in this place yesterday! Good one!

Yeah, it’s been very freeing.
