Do you ever feel like you’re wandering? Just floating through life, never really figuring out your purpose?
Yeah, I’ve felt that too. It’s disheartening. Especially if you find that you’re not doing what you love.
It would be easy to stay in that wandering mindset for a while, continuing to zig and zag through life, not getting to where you want to be, then chastising yourself for not doing much of anything.
Allow me to suggest another option.
Imagine something you love doing. Something you want really badly but haven’t accomplished yet.
Don’t love anything? How about like? Do you at least like something? Start there.
Now take a moment. Stop whatever you’re doing for a moment and imagine yourself doing this thing you love (or like). Imagine how it would feel to be doing it, how you would feel. Imagine it with all of your senses. What it would look like and what it would smell like. And in your imagination, walk around this place and touch things. What do they feel like? Soak it all in.
And when the gremlins in your mind begin explainering all of the reasons why this isn’t real or isn’t possible, shut them down. Say, “STOP!” aloud if that’s the only way to get them to cease their chattering.
Then do this every day. And every day when the self-limiting gremlins kick in with all of their sensibilities, tell them to “STOP!” Because they don’t have a lick of understanding of the power of the Universe that we live in.
Begin a different type of wandering, and begin it today. Wander through the world of possibility within your imagination. You may be surprised to find that your world begins to open up and the Universe sends little surprises your way, and before you know it, your dreams will begin coming true.
