You are awesome!

Had anyone tell you that lately?

If you have, you understand the pure, unadulterated joy that you feel when someone thinks that you’re awesome, just for being you.

Well, I don’t think there’s enough of that in the world.

Sure, it’s probably easier and occasionally more fun to be cynical and sarcastic – trust me, I know…I’m both.

While I love some heavy sarcasm and a good laugh at someone else’s expense as much as the next guy (if not more), there’s just something so awesome about telling someone they’re awesome! Because there are so many awesome people out there doing some awesome shit. Some of them know it, and that’s great. And some of them are just quietly being awesome with no one saying as much as a word about it. Seems almost tragic. Somebody ought to say something about all this awesomeness.

That’s where Denise and I come in. We decided that it’s high time to share some awesome with the world!

Here’s the plan. Send us your stories about how awesome you are, and chances are, we may publish your awesome story on this blog.* Don’t be shy. This isn’t the place to be feeling all goofy and reserved and modest. Say it loud, say it proud! I’m AWESOME!

And for the shy and modest amongst you, we’ll be doing a special feature from time to time called Caught Being Awesome. That’s when we’ll call out the quietly awesome of the world. (You can send us their stories as well.)

So, come on, let’s pump it up and tell people, “You’re AWESOME!”
